AMI Jet Charter Responds to FAA Action
Company acting immediately to achieve full compliance
BURLINGAME, CA, October 4, 2007 - The FAA today suspended AMI Jet Charter's (AMIJC) Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate pending demonstration that it has a fully compliant operational control system. The action comes at the end of an extensive seven-month review of AMIJC as part of the recently revised A008 Operational Control Specification.
AMIJC replied that with cooperation from the FAA, the company can take action to respond effectively to the agency's concerns and resume full operations.
Chuck McLeran, AMIJC CEO said, "We are confident that we can demonstrate AMIJC's outstanding safety record to the FAA and our continued commitment to full compliance with all applicable regulations and procedures."
As one of the nation's top charter operators, AMIJC has established an impeccable safety record dating back to its founding in 1998. Of more than 900 U.S. business jet charter operators, AMIJC holds one of the best safety records in the industry and has consistently achieved the coveted Platinum rating conferred by the independent rating agency, Aviation Research Group/US (ARG/US).
McLeran continued, "We intend to work with the FAA so we can address these issues and continue doing what we do best — serving our customers with the high caliber of safety and service they have come to expect. Working with the FAA, we believe these issues can be resolved at the earliest possible time.”
